Hot Slaw Recipe
Ingredients
| Egg yolks | 2 | |
| Cold water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cider vinegar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1/2 teaspoon powdered mustard | ||
| Salt | 1 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Shredded cabbage | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Beat egg yolks slightly in top part of large double boiler.
Add water, vinegar, and butter.
Add sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper mixed together.
Cook over boiling water until thickened, stirring constantly.
Add cabbage and heat thoroughly.
Makes 6 servings.
