Hot Potato Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| 450 g/1 lb new potatoes | ||
| 25 g/1 oz butter | ||
| 2 medium-sized onions, thinly sliced | ||
| Water | 4 Tablespoon | |
| White wine vinegar | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 5 Teaspoon (Leveled) | |
| black pepper | 1 | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
1. Cook the potatoes in their skins for about 15 minutes until just tender. Drain and peel off skins. Slice the potatoes.
2. Melt the butter in a fairly large saucepan, add the onions, cover and cook gently until soft without browning, about 10 minutes.
3. Add the remaining ingredients (except potatoes) and cook if necessary to soften the onion further.
4. Add the potatoes and heat through gently. Sprinkle with parsley or herbs if used.
