Ingredients
1 medium onion, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, crushed
3/4 cup tomato sauce
2 tsps. chilli powder
2 tsps. sugar
6 tbsps. any red wine
1 tbsp. salad oil or peanut oil
2 tsps. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. tabasco
3/4 cup chicken stock or water
3 tbsps. peanut oil
2 tbsps. cornflour mixed with 1/2 cup water
2 tbsps. parsley, finely chopped
Directions
Heat oil and fry onion and garlic.
Add all sauce ingredients except cornflour mixture and parsley.
Bring to a boil.
Stir in cornflour mixture and continue stirring until the mixture thickens.
Add parsley and serve with fish, vegetable or meat dishes.
