Hot Mocha Recipe
Ingredients
| Coffee | 4 Cup (16 tbs), brewed | |
| Cinnamon sticks | 2 | |
| 3 tablespoons granular sugar substitute | ||
| Orange zest | 3 Teaspoon, divided | |
| Unsweetened cocoa powder | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Heavy cream | 3 Tablespoon, Whipped | |
Directions
1. Heat coffee, cinnamon, sugar substitute, and 2 teaspoons of the orange zest in an enameled or stainless steel saucepan until hot but not boiling. Reduce heat to keep at a simmer and steep for 8 minutes. Strain through a mesh strainer into a coffeepot and keep hot.
2. In a heatproof glass measuring cup, make a paste of the cocoa powder and a little of the coffee. Gradually stir in 1 cup coffee until blended, and pour this back into coffeepot. Pour coffee into 4 heated mugs. Top with whipped cream, then sprinkle with remaining teaspoon orange zest.
