Hot Marmalade Bake Recipe
Ingredients
| 12 slices white bread, from a large loaf | ||
| Butter | 3 Ounce, softened | |
| 4 tbsps. ginger marmalade | ||
| Caster sugar | 1 Tablespoon (Leveled) | |
| 1 eeg | ||
| Milk | 1/2 Pint | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Ounce (To complete dish from freezer) | |
| 1 oz. Demerara sugar | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2) Cut off the crusts from the bread.
MAKING
3) Coat the bread slices lavishly with butter and then with marmalade. Make 6 sandwiches from the slices and cut each into 4 pieces.
4) Take a rectangular ovenproof dish (approx 9 inch X 5 inch) and arrange the sandwich pieces in it. The pieces may overlap.
5) Now, drizzle caster sugar over them. In a clean bowl, beat together, egg and milk and spread over the sandwich layer.
6) Place the dish in preheated oven and bake for about 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in it, comes out clean.

7) Serve warm.
