Hot Italian Sausage Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup dry Italian red wine
1/2 tsp fennel seed
1 tsp liquid smoke
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper
3/4 tsp cayenne pepper flakes
1 tsp salt
1 lb. freshly ground pork
1 cup 40% bran flakes
Directions
Chill the wine.
Pour into a large bowl.
Crush fennel seed with mortar and pestle.
Blend all seasonings into the liquid.
Add pork and bran flakes.
Mix sausage the old-fashioned way.
