3 cups sliced fresh fruit
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup light brown sugar, loosely packed
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Raisins, sliced almonds
Directions
Select firm but ripe fresh fruit, such as apples, peaches, pears, pineapples, and bananas.
Core, peel when necessary, and slice into attractive shapes approximately 1/2 inch thick.
Melt butter over medium-high heat in a large skillet.
Add brown sugar, ginger, and salt, stirring until sugar melts.
Pour in the lemon juice.
Fold in the fresh fruits and saute 1 to 2 minutes, stirring gently.
Finished fruit should be hot and well glazed, but still slightly firm inside.
