Hot Dog Toasties Recipe
I originally made this Hot Dog Toasties for my spouse but I can't stop eating it now! The main ingredient in Hot Dog Toasties is cheese. Ingredients
8 frankfurters
8 slices bread
Soft butter or margarine
Prepared mustard
8 slices process American cheese
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
Directions
Drop frankfurters into boiling water; reduce heat.
Cover; simmer 5 to 8 minutes.
Spread bread with soft butter and mustard.
Place bread slices on ungreased baking sheet and top each with cheese slice.
Place frankfurters diagonally on cheese.
Fold bread over to form triangle; secure with wooden picks.
Brush with melted butter.
Set oven control at broil and/or 550°.
Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat about 2 minutes or until golden brown.
