Hot Chocolate Trifle Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/2 chocolate cake, baked | ||
| Instant chocolate pudding mix package | 1 | |
| 1/2 cup espresso or double strength coffee, cooled | ||
| Half and Half | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 cup Creme de Cocoa | ||
| Chocolate syrup | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Whipped cream, for garnish | ||
| Cinnamon, for garnish | ||
| Chopped peanuts, for garnish | ||
Directions
Divide cake between four heat-proof cups.
In a heavy saucepan combine pudding mix, espresso, Half and Half, Creme de Cocoa and chocolate syrup.
Cook, stirring constantly, over low heat until bubbling all over.
Divide hot pudding between cups.
Immediately top with piles of whipped cream, a dusting of cinnamon, and a sprinkle of chopped peanuts.
