Hot Baked Fresh Pears Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 small Anjou pears | ||
| 1/4 cup unsweetened apple juice | ||
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cinnamon stick | 1 | |
| Whole Cloves | 3 | |
| Pinch nutmeg | ||
Directions
Slice the pears in half lengthwise; do not peel.
Remove the core and seeds.
Place the pears cut side down in a shallow baking pan.
Combine the remaining ingredients and pour over the pears.
Cover the pan with foil and bake at 350° for 12 minutes or until the pears are barely tender.
Remove from the oven and allow the pears to cool slightly in the liquid.
Serve warm.
