Hot And Spicy Walnuts Recipe
Ingredients
4 cups water
1 8-ounce can walnuts
1 tablespoon salad oil
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
1. In 3-quart saucepan over high heat, heat water to boiling; add walnuts and heat to boiling; cook 1 minute. Rinse walnuts under running hot water; drain; pat dry with paper towels. Wash saucepan and dry.
2. In same saucepan over medium heat, in hot salad oil, cook walnuts and remaining ingredients about 5 to 7 minutes, until browned, stirring constantly.
3. With slotted spoon, remove walnuts to paper towels to drain and cool completely. Store walnuts in tightly covered container to use up within 2 weeks.
