Horseradish Herb Crusted Leg Of Lamb Recipe
Horseradish herb crusted leg of lamb is a peppy and savory lamb recipe. Prepared with a light spread of mustard, the lamb is coated with a three herb, garlic seasoned crumb mix. Covered with foil, it is cooked to doneness and sliced to serve. Simple with a lovely crust to it, this lamb recipe is easy yet stunningly flavorful.
Ingredients
1 (6-pound) leg of lamb
2 cups fresh white bread crumbs
1/3 cup chopped parsley
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons dried rosemary leaves
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/2 cup Spread, melted
1/3 cup Specialty Mustard: Horseradish
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Remove fat from lamb with sharp knife.
Place on rack in roasting pan.
Bake 1 hour.
Remove from oven; cool 10 to 15 minutes.
Combine crumbs, parsley, garlic, rosemary and thyme; blend in spread.
Spread top and sides of lamb with mustard.
Press crumb mixture evenly and firmly into mustard.
Lightly cover with foil.
Bake 30 minutes.
Remove foil; bake 30 to 45 minutes more or until meat thermometer registers internal temperature of 140° to 160°F depending on desired doneness.
Remove from oven and let stand 10 minutes before slicing
