3 tbsp minced garlic
 
Salt
 
Pepper
 
Cubed ham
 
1 lb black eyes peas (pre-soaked)

Directions

Take a pan and add some olive oil. Add the chopped onion. Garlic and sauté till the onions are soft. Add the salt and pepper. Stir. Add the ham and mix well. Add the black eyes peas and water. Cover and let simmer for an hour and half till done. Serve with plain rice.
