Hopei Cauliflower With Bean Sprouts Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 small cauliflower
 
2 cups bean sprouts
 
1 medium onion chopped
 
3 cloves garlic crushed
 
2 tbsps. soya sauce
 
1 tbsp. margarine
 
1 tsp. salt
 
1 tsp. sugar
 
1/4 tsp. pepper ground
 
1 tbsp. parsley, finely chopped
 
1 cup water or stock
 
5 tbsps. vegetable oil

Directions

Wash and clean cauliflower, separate the flowerets, slice them lengthways, then cut 2 or 3 times lengthways.
Heat oil, saute onion and garlic for 3 minutes.
Add cauliflower pieces saute for 5 minutes.
Add bean sprouts with salt, pepper, sugar, margarine and soya sauce.
Stir well and fry for 5 minutes.
Add stock or water, cover and cook for another 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped parsley.
Serve hot.
VARIATION: Hot Hopei Cauliflower and Bean Sprouts: Follow the recipe as above.
After stage 4, add one recipe of Chinese red sauce.
Serve hot with rice.
