Hong Kong Hamburgers Recipe
Ingredients
| Ground beef | 1 pound | |
| Pineapple | 1 8 1/2 Ounce, sliced | |
| Brown sugar | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cornstarch | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Red wine vinegar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Soy sauce | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 4 green-pepper rings | ||
| 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted | ||
Directions
Shape meat in 4 patties; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Broil 4 inches from heat 10 minutes; turn once.
Meanwhile drain pineapple, reserving 1/4 cup syrup.
Mix sugar and cornstarch; blend in pineapple syrup, wine vinegar, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
Cook and stir in small skillet till mixture boils.
Add pineapple slices; top with pepper rings.
Cover; heat through.
Place burgers on buns; top with pineapple and pepper slices.
Spoon a little of the sauce over each burger; pass extra sauce.
