Honey Horns Recipe
|Active dry yeast||2 Tablespoon|
|Warm water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lukewarm milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), scalded, cooled to lukewarm|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Shortening/Butter / margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|All purpose flour||4 1⁄2 Cup (72 tbs)|

Mix in milk, 1/2 cup sugar, the salt, eggs, shortening and 2 1/2 cups of the flour; beat until smooth.
Stir in enough remaining flour to make dough easy to handle.
Turn dough onto lightly floured board; knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
Place in greased bowl; turn greased side up.
Cover; let rise in warm place until double, about 1 1/2 hours.
Heat Topping ingredients, stirring frequently, until mixture boils.
Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon; set aside.
Punch down dough.
Turn dough onto floured board; divide into 3 parts.
Roll each part into 10 inch circle.
Spread about 1 tablespoon of the melted butter and 2 tablespoons
Topping on each circle; sprinkle about 3 tablespoons sugar-cinnamon mixture on top.
Cut each circle into 12 wedges.
Roll up, beginning at rounded edges.
Place rolls with points underneath in spoke fashion in 3 greased layer pans, 8 or 9x1 1/2 inches; curve ends to form crescents.
Let rise in warm place until double, about 45 minutes.
Heat oven to 400Â°.
Bake 10 minutes; remove rolls from oven and spread remaining Topping on top.
Bake until golden brown,- about 10 minutes.
Immediately remove from pans; cool.
Wrap in heavy-duty foil, label and freeze.
35 minutes before serving, remove Honey Horns from freezer and place wrapped rolls on oven rack.
Heat in 350Â° oven until warm, about 30 minutes.
