Honey-Glazed Half Ham Recipe

Ingredients
1 4-to-5-lb (2-2.5 kg) shoulder or leg of ham
1/2 cup (125 mL) brown sugar
1 cinnamon stick
6 cloves
10 peppercorns
6 whole allspice
1 small onion, peeled and cut in four
Directions
Remove casing from ham.
Place it in a plastic cooking bag and add all the ingredients.
Tie with a wet string or a strip cut off the top of the bag.
Do not tighten the bag too much around the ham.
Make a slit with the tip of a knife on the top of the bag.
Set in a 12 x 7-inch (30 x 18 cm) glass dish.
Microwave 10 minutes at HIGH, then microwave for 35 minutes at MEDIUM, turning the bag halfway through cooking.
When cooked, remove ham from the bag and place it in the baking dish.
Remove the rind, if need be.
Spoon the following glaze over the ham.
