Honey Bun Coffee Ring Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 recipe for Yeast Rolls
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
6 tablespoons seedless raisins
1/2 cup honey
1 tablespoon melted butter or margarine
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
Follow recipe for Yeast Rolls to shaping process.
Divide into small pieces about the size of wal nuts and shape into balls.
First coat with the 1/2 cup melted butter, then roll in nuts.
Place one layer of balls about 1/4 inch apart in well-greased 9-inch tubed pan.
Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons of the raisins.
Arrange second layer on top of first.
Sprinkle with remaining raisins.
Press down slightly.
Combine honey and 1 tablespoon melted butter with remaining ingredients; spoon over dough.
Cover; let rise in a warm place 45 to 60 minutes, or until doubled.
Bake at 375°F 35 to 40 minutes.
Allow to stand in pan 5 minutes before removing.
Cover with a wire rack.
Invert and remove pan.
Turn right-side up immediately.
