Ingredients

 
2 cups (480 ml) whole wheat flour
 
1/2 tsp (3 ml) salt
 
1 tsp (5 ml) baking soda
 
2 tbs (30 ml) honey
 
1 cup (240 ml) buttermilk
 
1 egg, slightly beaten

Directions

In large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt and soda.
Make well in center.
Add honey, buttermilk and egg.
Stir just until moistened.
Batter will be soft.
Place in greased 1-quart casserole.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes.
Cool completely before slicing.
