Honey Peanut Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/2 cup each butter or margarine, at room temperature, and chunk-style peanut butter | ||
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Honey | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Buttermilk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 cups all-purpose flour, unsifted | ||
| 1 teaspoon each baking powder and soda | ||
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Directions
In a large bowl beat together butter, peanut butter, and brown sugar until well blended.
Add eggs one at a time and beat until fluffy.
Stir in honey, vanilla, and buttermilk.
In a separate bowl, stir together; flour, baking powder, soda, and salt until thoroughly blended.
Mix into creamed mixture.
Spoon batter into a greased 9 by 5-inch loaf pan.
Bake in a 325° oven for 55 minutes or until bread begins to pull away from sides of pan and a wooden skewer inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes; then turn out onto a rack to cool completely.
