Honey Orange Doughnuts Recipe
Ingredients
| Mashed potato | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Honey | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Milk | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soft margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Orange rind | 1 Teaspoon, grated | |
| All purpose flour | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 2 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 tsp each, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon | ||
Directions
Heat mashed potato if it's a leftover.
Add sugar, honey, milk, margarine and orange rind.
Stir in sifted dry ingredients.
This should be a soft dough.
If too sticky to roll out, add a few additional tablespoons flour.
Roll out on a floured board and cut with a doughnut cutter.
Fry in deep hot fat, 375F, until light brown.
Drain and dip in fine granulated sugar or frosting.
