MAKING
1. In a saucepan, combine all the ingredients except the maple flavouring and cook, stirring, till the mixture comes to a boil over moderate heat
2. Lower the flame and allow to simmer for a minute; turn the heat off and add in maple flavouring; store in the refrigerator when cool
