Honey Lavender Ice Cream Recipe
Ingredients
| Whipping cream | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Milk | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg yolks | 7 | |
| Granulated Sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vanilla | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Honey | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Lavender Blossoms - 2 tablespoons, roughly torn | ||
| Lavender Sprigs | ||
Directions
MAKING
1) Into a heavy saucepan, mix the milk and cream and cook over a medium heat till it bubbles
2) Onto a double boiler, whisk the egg yolks and sugar
3) Whisk constantly till the yolks thicken
4) Into the yolks pour the cream and cook for 5 minutes till the custard coats the back of the spoon
5) Empty the custard into a bowl and stir in vanilla
6) Allow to cool, cling wrap and chill in the refrigerator
7) Into an ice cream machine, empty the chilled custard and freeze
8) Add the honey and lavender
9) Freeze till the ice cream is completely set
10) Transfer the ice cream into an airtight container and continue to freeze
SERVING
11) Serve scoops of the ice cream garnished with a sprig of the lavender
