Honey Drop With Mace Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg yolk | 1 | |
| Orange peel | 1 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Honey | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| All purpose flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground mace | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 egg white, slightly beaten | ||
| Flaked coconut, tinted | ||
Directions
Cream butter and sugar until well blended.
Beat In egg yolk and orange peel; blend in honey.
Combine flour, baking powder, mace and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.
Drop by teaspoonsful about 2 Inches apart onto cookie sheets: flatten with fork dipped in flour.
Brush with egg white: sprinkle with coconut.
Bake at 350° for 10 to 14 minutes.
Remove to wire rack to cool.
