Honey Baked Apples Recipe
Ingredients
| Preheat oven to 350°F. | ||
| Baking apples | 6 Large | |
| Walnuts | 3 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Raisins | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Honey | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 cinnamon stick, about two inch length | ||
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Wash and core apples.
Mix chopped walnuts and raisins together.
Fill apple cavities with the mixture and place in a shallow baking dish.
In a small saucepan, combine water, honey, and cinnamon stick.
Place over medium heat and bring to a boil.
Simmer for five minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice.
Remove cinnamon stick and pour syrup over apples in baking dish.
Place in a preheated oven and bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes or until the apples are tender, basting occasionally.
Remove from oven and cool to room temperature before serving.
