Ingredients
| 1 whole chicken, 4 1/2 lbs (2 kg) | ||
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Pinch of thyme | ||
| Orange juice | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Orange peel | 2 Tablespoon, grated | |
| Savory | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Chicken | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Honey | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
– Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
– Truss chicken. Baste with butter or oil and season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
– Place in a roasting pan and cook until golden, about 45 minutes.
– Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the other ingredients.
– Pour mixture over the golden chicken and cook 1 hour longer, basting often.
– At the end of cooking process, boil the cooking juices until thick and baste the chicken with this sauce.
