Homestyle Chicken Parmesan Recipe Video
Ingredients
Chicken Cutlets - 4 to 6
All Purpose Flour - about 1 cup or according to how many chicken cutlets you use
Salt - to taste
Pepper - to taste
Eggs - 2 to 3
Water - 2 tablespoons
Italian Bread Crumbs - about 1-2 cups
Tomato Sauce - 48 ounces, either homemade or jarred
Sliced Mozzarella Cheese - 6 ounces
Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese - as required
Olive Oil - for frying
Spaghetti - 1 package, cooked according to package directions
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven to 350° F/ 180° C.
2. Spray a 9x13" casserole dish with cooking spray.
MAKING
3. Dredge chicken cutlets in flour, then egg, then Italian bread crumbs.
4. Heat olive oil in a sauté pan and then brown cutlets on both sides.
5. Place a layer of the tomato sauce in the bottom of the casserole dish.
6. Place the chicken cutlets over the tomato sauce and cover with more sauce.
7. Place the mozzarella cheese evenly over the cutlets and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
9. Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
10. Heat the leftover tomato sauce.
SERVING
11. Serve the tomato sauce over the spaghetti with a cutlet. Sprinkle with more Parmesan cheese, if desired.
