Homespun Meat Pie Recipe
|Onion||1 Small, sliced|
|Beef stew meat/Veal stew meat||1 Pound, cut into 2 inch cubes|
|Boiling water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Onions||2 Medium, coarsely chopped|
|Sliced carrots||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Green peas||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Fresh Or Frozen)|
|Diced pared potatoes||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Diced celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cold water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Gold medal flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Regular Or Wondra)|
|Stir n roll biscuits||250 Gram|

Add meat and brown well on all sides.
Add boiling water, salt, and pepper.
Cover and simmer over low heat until tender, 2 to 3 hr.
During last half hour, add remaining vegetables.
Heat oven to 450°.
Remove meat and vegetables from hot broth and place in square pan, 8x8x2" or 9x9x2".
Skim excess fat from meat broth; measure broth and return to pan.
(There should be approximately 2 cups broth.) Shake 1/2 cup water and the flour together in covered jar.
(For a smooth mixture, put water in first, flour on top.) Stir flour and water slowly into hot broth.
Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
Boil 1 min.
Keep gravy hot while making Stir-n-Roll Biscuits.
Pour gravy over meat and vegetables; place biscuits on top.
Bake 20 min.
