Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients
4 cups milk
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 beaten eggs
2 13 ounce cans evaporated milk
2 cups light cream
4 teaspoons vanilla Ice cream toppings
Directions
In large saucepan combine the 4 cups milk, sugar, and salt.
Cook and stir until hot (do not boil).
Gradually add a moderate amount of hot mixture to the eggs, mixing thoroughly; return to hot mixture.
Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
Cool to room temperature.
Stir in the evaporated milk, light cream, and vanilla.
Freeze in ice cream freezer according to manufacturer's directions.
