Homemade Pretzels Recipe
Ingredients

| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Beer-1 1/2 cups warm, (105° to 115°) | ||
| All-purpose flour -4 1/2 cups | ||
| Egg | 1 | |
| Kosher salt- as required | ||
Directions
MAKING
1)Use a large bowl and dissolve yeast and sugar in warm beer and mix it.
2)Further add flour, and mix until blended.
3)Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it for 8 to 10 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic.
4)Place dough in a greased bowl, turning to grease top.
5)Cover and let rise in a warm place (85°), free from drafts, 1 hour or until doubled in bulk.
6)Using kitchen shears dipped in flour and cut dough into 24 pieces and roll each into a ball.
7)With floured hands, roll each ball between hands to form a rope 14 inches long.
8)Twist each into a pretzel shape, placing on greased foil-lined baking sheets, about 1 1/2 inches apart.
9)Brush each pretzel with egg and sprinkle with kosher salt.
FINALIZING
10)Bake at 475° for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
11)Remove pretzels to a wire rack.
