Homemade Chili Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Tomatoes | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Celery stalks | 3 , minced | |
| Green pepper | 1 Medium, minced | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Chili powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Whole Cloves | 2 | |
| 1/4 teaspoon each of cinnamon, ground allspice, and pepper | ||
| Cider vinegar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Mix vegetables in heavy kettle, bring to boil, and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients, simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes, or until thick.
Pour into hot sterilized jars, and seal.
Makes 4 half-pint jars.
