Ingredients

 Active dry yeast1⁄4 Ounce (1 Package)
 Warm water2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 Raw sugar1 Tablespoon
 Vegetable margarine1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), softened
 Unbleached white flour2 Cup (32 tbs)
 Egg1
 Water1 Tablespoon
 Sesame seeds To Taste
 Poppy seeds To Taste
 Celery seeds To Taste
 Cornmeal To Taste
 Coarse sea salt To Taste

Directions

In a mixing bowl dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add salt, sugar, margarine, and 1 cup flour.
Beat well until smooth.
Gradually add remaining cup of flour, and knead dough on a floured board until smooth.
Put into a bowl, cover, and let dough rise for 1 hour until it doubles in size Divide dough in half.
Cut each half into 24 pieces.
Roll out each piece of dough into a 6 inch pencil-slim stick.
Place sticks on a greased baking sheet 1 inch apart.
Brush with egg beaten with 1 Tbsp water.
Sprinkle sticks with a mixture of sesame seeds, poppy seeds, celery seeds, and cornmeal or cokrse sea salt.
Bake bread sticks in a 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
