Holiday Hermits Recipe
This dreamy Holiday Hermits is the best I have ever tasted! It is an effortless Dessert. Have faith in me and try this Holiday Hermits.
Ingredients
3/4 c. soft butter
1 1/2 c. (packed) light brown sugar
1/2 c. light molasses
3 eggs
4 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. mace
1/4 c. strong coffee
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
1 c. currants
Directions
"Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Beat in molas- ses.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift flour, salt and spices together.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with coffee, beating until smooth.
Fold in nuts and fruit carefully.
Line 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan with waxed paper.
Pour batter into prepared pan, smoothing carefully into corners.Bake in 350-degree oven for about 20 minutes.
Turnout on rack; remove waxed paper.
Cut loaf into squares.
