Holiday Fruit Cookies Recipe
Holiday Fruit Cookies...as the name suggests, is a delicious cookie filled with the goodness of fruits!! Made with dates, pecans and candied cherries, these cookies are thoroughly enjoyed by the kids. Best enjoyed with a warm glass of milk, these cookies are an absolute treat to the palate!

Ingredients
| Shortening | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Brown sugar | 2 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed | |
| Eggs | 2 Small | |
| Sour milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 3 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pecans | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), broken | |
| Cherry | 2 Cup (16 tbs), candied | |
| Dates | 2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Lightly grease a baking sheet.
2) Preheat the oven at 400°F.
MAKING
3) In a bowl, combine and cream the shortening and sugar till light and fluffy.
4) Add in the eggs and milk and beat well.
5) Sift together the flour, soda, and salt.
6) Add into the creamed mix and blend well.
7) Add in the remaining ingredients.
8) Scoop and drop from a teaspoon onto the baking sheet.
9) Place in the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
SERVING
10) Serve with warm milk.
