Holiday Cranberry Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups fresh cranberries
1/2 cup apple juice
2/3 cup honey
1 teaspoon finely chopped orange rind

How to make Holiday Cranberry Sauce

Combine cranberries, apple juice and honey in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 5 minutes or until berries pop.
Remove from heat and stir in orange rind.
Cool to room temperature, then chill thoroughly before serving.
This sauce will last for at least 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
Cranberries generally appear on the market only during the Thanksgiving/Christmas season.
If you would like to enjoy this fat-free relish at other times of the year, store a few extra bags of cranberries in the freezer.
Frozen cranberries can be used exactly like fresh ones.
