Holiday Shrimp Wreath Recipe

Ingredients
3 lb. shrimp
2 qt. boiling water
1/4 cup salt
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 1/3 Tbsp. horseradish
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 1/2 cup chopped parsley
1 styrof oam wreath (14 x 2 x 1 1/2 inches)
Plastic film
1 styrof oam square (12x12x1 inches)
Toothpicks
Red bow
Salad greens
Directions
Thaw frozen shrimp, peel.
Make a shallow cut lengthwise down the back of each shrimp, wash.
Place shrimp in boiling, salted water.
Cover and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes or until shrimp are pink and tender, drain.
Rinse with cold water.
Combine cheese and seasonings and whip until smooth and fluffy.
Spread cut side of shrimp with cheese mixture and dip into parsley.
Chill.
Cover wreath with plastic film.
Draw a rectangle, 6 x 1 1/2 inches, in the center of the styrofoam square.
Cut out the rectangle (6 x 1 1/2 inches) and insert the wreath.
Attach shrimp to wreath with toothpicks.
Fasten a red bow on top of wreath.
Cover base with greens.
