Holiday Pate Recipe
This holiday pate is a gourmet pate prepared with pork liver sausage or braunschweiger. Made with cream cheese and blended with the flavors of worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce and sherry, it is spiced to taste. Served as cocktail accompaniment or as a course in a meal, it is always popular.
Ingredients
1 (8-ounce) package Braunschweiger
1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 to 2 tablespoons dry sherry
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Dash of hot pepper sauce
Directions
Blend all ingredients and serve with crackers or cocktail bread.
