Holiday Mulled Cider Recipe
Ingredients
| Whole Cloves | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Two 2-inch pieces cinnamon | ||
| Water | 2 Quart | |
| 2/3 cup loose tea or 30 tea bags | ||
| Sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 quarts apple cider or apple juice | ||
| Lemon juice | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 4 red apples | ||
| Whole Cloves | 8 | |
| 1/4 cup red cinnamon hearts | ||
| Thin Sugar Syrup | ||
Directions
Add cloves and cinnamon stick to water.
Bring to a boil.
Add tea.
Cover and brew for about 4 minutes.
Stir and strain.
Add sugar and stir.
Add apple cider and lemon juice.
Peel and core apples, but leave whole.
Stick 2 cloves into each apple.
Add cinnamon hearts to Thin Sugar Syrup.
Poach apples in Thin Sugar Syrup.
Pour mulled cider into serving bowl and add apples.
Serve hot.
