Hint of Spice Rice Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 cups canned low-sodium chicken broth, undiluted | ||
| 3/4 cup long-grain brown rice, uncooked | ||
| Orange rind | 1 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground ginger | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1 medium orange, peeled and sectioned | ||
| Sliced almonds | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), toasted | |
Directions
1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a large saucepan; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
