Herrings In Herring Roe Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 herrings, heads removed | ||
| Herring | 31/2 Ounce | |
| Horseradish mustard | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Lemon juice | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Creme fraiche | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | 1 | |
Directions
Clean the fish and rinse under plenty of cold running water.
Pat dry on kitchen paper.
Make 2 or 3 incisions in the fleshiest part of the fish.
Arrange the fish, side by side in a rectangular dish, with the cut sides downward.
Cover and microwave on HIGH for 6 minutes.
Puree the herring roe in a food processor.
Pour the puree into a bowl and stir in the horseradish mustard, lemon juice, sour cream (creme fraiche), sugar, and salt and pepper.
Stir well.
Put the bowl in the microwave oven and cook for 1 minute on HIGH.
Stir again.
