Ingredients

 10 pickled herring fillets
 4 sweet dill pickles
 Onions2
 Apples2
 1 egg, hard-cooked
 Cooked ham1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 2/3 cup chopped cooked beets
 Mayonnaise1 Tablespoon
 Half and Half3 Tablespoon
 Pepper white1 Teaspoon
 Sugar1 Teaspoon
 Hard-cooked egg slices
 Tomato wedges

Directions

Chop the herring fillets.
Dice the pickles.
Peel and chop the onions.
Peel, core and chop the apples.
Chop the hard-cooked egg.
Mix together all these ingredients with the ham and beets and place in a salad bowl.
Mix the mayonnaise, cream, pepper and sugar together and fold into the salad.
Leave to chill for 1 hour.
Serve garnished with slices of hard-cooked egg and tomato wedges.
