Herbed Spinach Balls Recipe
Ingredients
| Spinach - 1 frozen pack, thawed, drained | ||
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Low cal margarine - 2 tbsp + 2 tsp, molten | ||
| Low cal mayonnaise - 2 tsp | ||
| Drioed bread rcumbs - 1/3 cup + 2 tsp | ||
| Parmesan cheese | 2 Tablespoon, grated | |
| Garlic powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Thyme leaves | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Sage | 1/4 Teaspoon, rubbed | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper - a dash | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 350° F
MAKING
2. In a medium bowl, mix together spinach, onion, egg and margarine well
3. Add all the other ingredients as well and mix once more till thoroughly blended; shape this mixture into sixteen balls
4. On a baking sheet, spray a coating of nonstick cooking spray and arrange the spinach balls, baking them till cooked through, say twenty minutes
SERVING
5. Serve as appropriate
