Herbed Italian Bread Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 long loaf Italian or French bread | ||
| Onion powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Dry oregano | 1/2 Teaspoon, crumbled | |
| Basil | 1/2 Teaspoon, crumbled | |
| Tarragon | 1/2 Teaspoon, crumbled | |
| Savory | 1/2 Teaspoon, crumbled | |
| Salt | 1 Pinch | |
| Butter or margarine, melted | ||
| Olive oil | ||
Directions
Cut bread into 1-inch thick slices.
In a small bowl, mix all seasonings together. Add equal amounts of melted butter or margarine and olive oil. Lightly spoon or brush the mixture onto both sides of the bread slices.
Place in a single layer on an ungreased baking sheet with sides. Bake at 350° F. for 15 minutes or until golden.
