Herbed Cornbread Appetizers Recipe

| Rising flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |

| Ground nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Oregano | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Thyme | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Sweet basil | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Milk | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/3 cup melted shortening or vegetable oil | ||
Directions
Combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, nutmeg, oregano, thyme, and basil.
Combine egg, milk, and shortening.
Add liquid mixture to dry mixture, stirring well.
Spoon into a well-greased 13- x 9- x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brow
