Herbal Tea Recipe
This herbal tea is a very light and flavorful beverage. Sweetened with honey, which also lends a mild taste, the herbal tea has a hint of lemon juice and is served hot. Good for the body, it refreshes and engergises!
Ingredients
| Water | 5 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup chopped fresh mint or 2 tablespoons mint flakes | ||
| Sage leaves | 1 Tablespoon, dried | |
| 1 tablespoon dried lemon verbena or 1 teaspoon dried tarragon leaves | ||
| 4 teaspoons light honey | ||
| Lemon juice | 4 Teaspoon | |
| Lemon wedges | 4 | |
| 4 mint sprigs | ||
Directions
In a medium size saucepan, bring the water to a boil over moderately high heat about 5 minutes.
Pour the boiling water into a warmed teapot and add the mint, sage, and lemon verbena; cover and steep for 5 minutes.
Strain the tea mixture into 4 cups or mugs; stir 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon lemon juice into each, and, if you like, garnish with a lemon wedge and a mint sprig.
