Herb And Cheese Crostini Recipe
Ingredients
| Baguettes | 2 | |
| Olive oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cream cheese | 1 Pound | |
| 1/4 cup each chopped fresh parsley and dill 50 mL | ||
| 1/4 cup chopped green onions 50 mL | ||
| Sun dried tomatoes | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Lemon juice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Hot pepper sauce | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
Cut bread into 1/2 inch (1 cm) thick slices to make about 40 pieces.
Broil on baking sheets for 2 minutes or until just beginning to turn golden.
Turn slices over and broil for 2 minutes longer.
Brush one side with oil.
In bowl, blend together cream cheese, parsley, dill, green onions, tomatoes (if using), lemon juice, garlic, pepper, hot pepper sauce, and salt to taste; spread over bread slices. (Crostini can be prepared to this point, covered and refrigerated for up to 8 hours.)
Just before serving, bake crostini in 400°F (200°C) oven for 5 to 7 minutes or until hot.
