Herb Fried Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
2 two-pound frying chickens, cut into pieces
Fat for deep frying
Directions
1. In a paper bag combine the flour, salt, pepper and rosemary. Add a few chicken parts at a time and shake to coat well with the seasoned flour.
2. Place fat to a depth of one inch in a heavy skillet and heat to 375° F. Drop the chicken pieces into the fat and cook until golden brown on one side. Turn and cook the other side until brown. Drain on absorbent toweling.
