Herb Bread Recipe

Ingredients

 
Just under 1/2 quantity risen plain white dough
 
1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs or 3 tablespoons fresh mixed herbs
 
TOPPING
 
1 tablespoon butter
 
14 teaspoon dried mixed herbs

Directions

Work the mixed herbs into the dough by squeezing and kneading the dough by hand until evenly mixed through the dough.
Shape to fit a greased small 4 1/2x2 1/2X1 1/2-inch loaf pan or divide into 8 pieces and shape into rolls.
Melt the butter and brush over the surface of the loaf or rolls.
Sprinkle with the dried herbs.
Cover and let rise.
Bake the loaf in the center of a hot oven (425°F) for 30-35 minutes and the rolls toward the top of the oven for 15-20 minutes.
Turn out and cool.
