Herb Bread Recipe
Ingredients
| Stem milk - 1-1/2 cups | ||
| Sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cakes - 2 OR Yeast - 2 packages | ||
| Warm water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Nutmeg | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Thyme | 1 Teaspoon, powdered | |
| Caraway - 1 tablespoon OR poppy seeds - 1 tablespoon | ||
| Flour | 7 Cup (16 tbs), sifted (Special oil - 1/4 cup) | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1.Heat milk below the boiling point.
2.Add salt and sugar to it and mix well.
3.Let the milk cool until lukewarm.
4.Prehat the oven to 400 degrees.
MAKING
5.In a large bowl of water, put yeast to get soft and stir well.
6.Add milk mixture, egg, nutmeg, thyme, seeds and oil.
7.Put 3 cups of flour and stir until a smooth mixture is formed.
8.Put rest of the flour also and knead the dough on a lightly floured area and once done leave for 15 minutes.
9.Put the dough in oiled bowl and leave for some more time in a warm place after covering until it doubles.
10.Once done, put the dough on lightly floured area and punch.
11.Make two equal parts of dough and make them as loaves.
12.Take 2 greased 9 inch loaf pans, put the loves in it and leave for
a while until double, after covering.
13.Bake the loaves for 40 minutes until brown.
14.Let the loaf cool on the rack.
SERVING
15.Serve after slicing.
