1 cup flour
 
2 teaspoons baking powder
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
1 egg
 
1/3 cup tomato juice, heated
 
1 small onion, finely chopped
 
1 teaspoon pepper sauce
 
Vegetable oil

Directions

In medium bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir in egg, tomato juice, onion and sauce.
In large skillet over medium-high heat bring 1 inch oil to 350°F.
Drop batter by teaspoonfuls into oil; fry, a few at a time, 5 to 7 minutes or until golden brown on all sides.
Drain on paper towels.
